EZFORM LV 1827 VX (Built in vacuum system) Plug & Play

Note: This item is made to order in the USA. Please allow up to 6 weeks from purchase for fulfillment.

The Centroform EZFORM LV 1827 VX is a professional vacuum forming machine designed for demanding prototyping, production, packaging, mold making, signage, special effects, and custom thermoforming applications. Its 18" x 27" forming area accommodates plastic sheets from approximately 21 1/4" x 30 1/4" up to 22" x 31", while the machine can form thermoplastic sheets up to 1/4" thick with a maximum draw depth of approximately 9–11 inches, depending on mold geometry. The VX is individually made in the USA and features an all-stainless-steel welded construction with industrial-grade mechanical components.

The EZFORM LV 1827 VX is designed as a plug-and-play vacuum forming solution with a dual adjustable built-in vacuum system. During forming, the vacuum motor initially removes the majority of the air from beneath the heated plastic. A vacuum pump then takes over automatically to continue evacuating air and help achieve fine detail in the formed part. Vacuum level and duration are adjustable, and an integrated vacuum gauge allows the operator to monitor the vacuum during the forming process. This two-stage approach is one of the defining features of Centroform's EZFORM machines and is designed to provide strong initial suction while supporting detailed forming.

The VX uses two independently adjustable 1,500-watt heating elements for a total of 3,000 watts of heating power. The heating system is engineered for uniform heat distribution across the forming area, while the stainless-steel quick-load plastic frame adjusts for different sheet thicknesses and can be moved into position quickly before the heated plastic begins to cool. A small internal chamber helps facilitate faster suction, and the machine's welded and polished stainless-steel construction is designed for durability in repeated forming applications.

The EZFORM LV 1827 VX can form a broad selection of thermoformable plastics, including styrene, acrylic/Plexiglas, PET-G, PVC, ABS, polyethylene, and vinyl. Centroform's documentation specifically discusses PETG, ABS, and styrene as commonly used materials, while noting that other plastics can also be formed with the machine. Applications can include prototypes, short-run parts, packaging, signage, molds, model making, RC components, costume and mask production, and other custom plastic forming projects.

At 41" long, 24.5" wide, and 30.5" high, with a listed weight of 110 lb, the EZFORM LV 1827 VX is the larger and heavier configuration within the LV 1827 lineup. It operates from 110–120V power, with a 210–240V single-phase version also available. For customers who need an integrated vacuum system without supplying a separate shop vacuum or vacuum pump, the VX provides a complete, ready-to-use vacuum forming platform with a substantial 18" x 27" forming area.

Made individually in the USA, the EZFORM LV 1827 VX includes an operator's manual with vacuum forming and mold-making guidance and is backed by a one-year warranty and free technical support from Centroform.

Which EZFORM LV 1827 Vacuum Forming Machine Is Right for the Application?

The EZFORM LV 1827 E, V2, and VX all provide an 18" x 27" forming area and 3,000 watts of adjustable heating power, but their vacuum configurations and machine sizes differ. The LV 1827 E is designed for users who already have a suitable external vacuum source and want to connect their own shop vacuum, vacuum pump, or other suction equipment. The LV 1827 V2 adds a dual adjustable built-in vacuum system in a more compact 75-lb chassis, making it a convenient plug-and-play option.

The EZFORM LV 1827 VX also includes Centroform's dual adjustable built-in vacuum system but uses a larger 110-lb chassis measuring 41" long by 24.5" wide. All three models can accommodate sheets up to approximately 22" x 31" and form plastics up to 1/4" thick. Choosing between them therefore comes down primarily to the desired vacuum configuration, available workspace, and machine size rather than forming-area capacity or heater power.
