WHICH PLAN IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

In addition to the 1-year limited warranty that comes standard with all MakerBot Method & Method X 3D printers – MakerBot offers two additional tiers of protection – MakerCare Gold and MakerCare Platinum. A breakdown of these plans can be found below.

 

MAKERCARE GOLD: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1-BUSINESS DAY RESPONSE TIME:

  • With MakerCare Gold you can expect a response from MakerBot Support via the web within 1 business Day.

    • MakerBot Support business hours are Mon–Fri: 9 am-6 pm ET

2 YEARS OF COVERAGE:

  • MakerCare Gold provides customers with the next level of support. Customers who select this plan will receive an additional 2 full years of coverage from the date you register your Method or Method X 3D Printer.

EXPEDITED REPLACEMENT OF PARTS:

  • For the duration of your MakerCare plan, MakerBot will replace defective parts AND parts that require replacement due to accidental damage and normal wear and tear. 

    • Expedited shipping means that a part is shipped to a customer via overnight shipping at the earliest availability (usually within one business day), so customers can expect to receive their parts within 2 days. Replacement parts exclude consumables.


MAKERCARE PLATINUM: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

6-BUSINESS HOUR RESPONSE TIME:

  • With MakerCare Platinum you can expect a response from MakerBot Support via the web within 6 business hours.

    • MakerBot Support business hours are Mon–Fri: 9 am-6 pm ET

3 YEARS OF COVERAGE:

  • MakerCare Platinum is MakerBot’s fastest, and most comprehensive level of support. Customers who select this plan will receive an additional 3 full years of coverage from the date you register your Method or Method X 3D Printer.

HOT-SWAP:

  • The Hot Swap service that is included with MakerCare Platinum ensures that customers will experience minimal downtime if you ever run into issues. If MakerBot Support determines that your MakerBot 3D Printer needs to be replaced, they will ship out a replacement unit even before the defective unit is returned – saving you valuable time, money, and headache.
