gMax 1.5+ Features

Dual Zone Heated Bed

Why waste power? When printing something small on your gMax large format 3D printer (8" or less) you have the option of turning off the outer heat zone to save power.

The optional heated bed, by Keenovo, also has a dedicated digital temperature controller and plugs straight into your wall outlet. This allows for dedicated control over your heated bed and protects your electronics from overloading.

BLTouch Auto Bed Leveling

Using the innovative BLTouch auto bed leveling sensor, we have taken out the need to level your bed and made rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing even easier on your single or dual extruder large format gMax 3D printer. The bed leveling sensor probes the bed and automatically adjusts the z-axis heights actively during a print.

Marlin 1.1.8 firmware now includes bi-linear mesh bed leveling. Combined with our acrylic bed or heated build plate set, gMax Printers produce large flat prints easier than ever. 

Full Graphic LCD and Powder Coated Steel Enclosure

A new full graphic display makes it even simpler to run your printer and includes all new graphics. We have also mounted the new display to a powder coated steel bracket which ships pre-installed on the printer and protects your electronics.

Custom BuildTak Print Surface

Every gMax Printer ships standard with a 16"x16"x1/4" acrylic bed. The optional dual zone heated bed includes a custom designed BuildTak gridded print surface on a 4mm borosilicate glass plate to provide an optimal print surface when heated. To remove the print, simply let the bed cool down and pop it off.

The large format gMax 1.5+ 3D Printer is also compatible with the new BuildTak FlexPlate System.

Powder Coated Metal Parts

Even more powder coated aluminum and steel parts ensure the gMax Printer is rock solid. These parts are also available in our online store. The gMax design contains one of the most robust frames on the market.

Bi-Linear Mesh Bed Leveling

After starting a print, the gMax Printer will probe a 36 point grid and create a "mesh" of the bed below. Using this method the printer can account for high and low spots across the entire surface of the bed resulting in great adhesion. This mesh will "fade" to a flat level as the print gets higher.
