Bambu Lab H3C

Tool Changer. Game Changer.

The Bambu Lab H3C 3D printer is a high-performance 9-material tool changer designed for multi-color printing, flexible TPU, engineering-grade materials, and advanced multi-process workflows. With 6-second material switching, a 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume, active heated-chamber control, and automated filament management, the H3C helps you create complex, high-quality parts with less manual intervention.

Nine materials. One extraordinary print.

Nine independent PrintTools keep different materials loaded, heated, and ready. Print vibrant color combinations, flexible TPU assemblies, soluble supports, wood textures, and detailed multi-material parts without manually unloading and swapping filament between every change.

With dedicated filament paths and active preheating, the H3C can switch between PrintTools in as little as 6 seconds under optimal conditions.

Print color and texture in one workflow.

Five PrintTools can blend CMYKW materials into full-spectrum color, while additional tools can add silk, wood, support, and flexible materials. The result is a single print with less manual intervention and more control over the finished look.

Color mixing requires compatible Bambu Lab PLA Palette materials and the correct project setup.

6-second material switching.

Each PrintTool stays docked, loaded, and preheated. Active Pre-Heat warms the next nozzle while the current tool is still printing, so the incoming material can begin printing quickly instead of waiting through a full heat-up cycle.

Soft TPU, made practical.

FlexFeed supports both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm flexible filament. Its cam-driven mechanism and permanent-magnet synchronous motor help maintain controlled tension so soft filament is less likely to buckle before it reaches the nozzle.

With dedicated 2.85 mm TPU, the H3C can print flexible material such as 75A TPU at up to 3× the volumetric flow rate of traditional printers in internal testing.

Mixed nozzle sizes. Detail where it matters.

Use a fine nozzle for small features, a larger nozzle for structural sections, and a dedicated flexible-material tool for TPU—all in the same project. The H3C can carry different nozzle sizes at once, while Bambu Studio’s mixed-diameter planning assigns each tool an appropriate layer height.

This makes it possible to combine sharp dial details, strong housings, and flexible components in one print.

More than 3D printing.

Optional CutTool, DrawTool, DebossTool, and other CraftTools mount through the same tool-changing system. Print, blade-cut, draw, foil-transfer, and deboss in one coordinated workflow.

Process tools are optional and sold separately. Compatibility and feature support depend on the tool, material, and software workflow.

Filament storage, drying, and feeding built in.

The integrated AMS 3H keeps up to nine filament paths inside the H3C. Drop filament into a slot and the system detects, routes, and engages it automatically.

  • 9-slot automated filament loading
  • Built-in 2-slot dryer
  • Drying temperature up to 85°C
  • Supports on-demand and selected mid-print drying
  • Connects to compatible external AMS units through PrintTool No. 1
  • Up to 24 spools with supported auxiliary AMS configurations

Flagship performance. No compromise.

The H3C combines a 330 × 320 × 325 mm usable build volume with high-speed motion, an active heated chamber, and a high-temperature extrusion system for demanding materials.

The toolhead and X-axis assembly are 40% lighter than the previous-generation H2D assembly, reducing inertia while supporting travel speeds up to 1,400 mm/s and acceleration up to 25,000 mm/s².

65°C heated chamber

Active dual-zone heating helps manage warping with engineering-grade materials.

350°C hardened steel nozzles

Supports ABS, PC, PA-CF, PET-CF, and other demanding materials.

Four-layer cooling

CFD-optimized part cooling, auxiliary fans, PrintTool cooling, and chamber regulation help maintain print quality.

50 μm motion accuracy with the optional Vision Encoder.

For production work and precision components, the optional Vision Encoder provides an absolute optical reference that can compensate for mechanical wear and drift over time.

The Vision Encoder is sold separately.

More time making. Less time tinkering.

Nine tools require precision, so the H3C automates the routine work. It handles PrintTool docking calibration, offset compensation, bed leveling, and calibration before each print.

The goal is a more predictable workflow from the first layer to the finished multi-material part.

AI monitoring and HMS MiniWiki.

Vision systems monitor the print from before the first layer to the last. AI can identify issues such as spaghetti, purge-bin jams, and clogs before they cascade.

The updated HMS explains likely causes in plain language and MiniWiki provides on-screen guidance for common fixes, reducing the need to search for error codes while standing beside the printer.

Retractable rack

Pull the rack into view when changing tools, then retract it for an unobstructed look into the chamber.

Bambu Station L

The optional station raises the printer to a comfortable working height and adds storage below.

E1 Air Purifier

The optional E1 helps reduce VOCs, PM2.5, and 0.3 μm microplastics in the surrounding workspace.

Built for ambitious projects.

From color-mixed artwork to flexible footwear, printed mechanisms, multi-material wearables, and parts that combine rigid and soft materials, the H3C is designed to turn complex ideas into one coordinated workflow.

The H3C supports Bambu Studio workflows and standard G-code from slicers such as SuperSlicer, PrusaSlicer, and Cura, although advanced features may not be supported outside the official software workflow.

Yes. The H3C PrintTools use hardened-steel nozzles and support temperatures up to 350°C.

The PrintTools use different filament paths for the two filament diameters. The 2.85 mm path is especially useful for flexible filament such as 75A TPU because the larger filament diameter can resist buckling and support higher flow in the FlexFeed system.

The 2.85 mm PrintTool is pre-installed in the designated PrintTool position used for the compatible flexible-filament path. Follow the current setup guide and on-screen instructions when installing or changing PrintTools.

No. It is designed to support 2.85 mm filament and is particularly useful for flexible TPU. Always confirm the material profile, temperature range, and compatibility before printing other materials.

The two dedicated drying slots concentrate active heating where it is most useful for hygroscopic materials such as PA, PC, and TPU while the remaining filament slots provide enclosed storage and automatic feeding.

Compatible previous-generation Bambu Lab AMS units can connect through PrintTool No. 1. With supported configurations, the H3C can manage up to 24 filament spools in total.

The BirdsEye camera is optional. AI monitoring can operate independently, while the camera extends visual coverage for compatible workflows. Confirm current firmware and software support for the specific CutTool or DrawTool workflow before purchasing.

The H3C is a new tool-changer platform with its own multi-material and multi-process workflow. Product availability and support for other Bambu Lab models can change over time, so consult the manufacturer's current product and support information for the latest status.

Important notes: The 6-second material-switching claim is based on internal testing under optimal conditions with PLA Basic and filament-saving purge mode. Actual results vary with filament type, slicer settings, and print conditions. The 3× TPU flow claim is based on internal testing under specified conditions and does not guarantee jam-free operation.

Process tools, the Vision Encoder, auxiliary AMS units, Bambu Station L, E1 Air Purifier, additional hotends, and other accessories are sold separately unless included in the selected package. Built-in drying temperatures are measured by the internal sensor and may differ at other points.

Always follow current Bambu Lab safety, ventilation, material, firmware, and software guidance before operating the printer.
